"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi-human.
The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." - Edward Hoagland

Dog Daze Captain America aka: Boomer

CGC-PS1-PK1-PJ2-NAC-TNN-TNO-NJC-NCC-JSN-JSO-JSE-GSN-GSO-GVE-RSN-RSO

Boomer was our second Australian Shepherd. First rescue dog and our first agility dog.
Boomer loves to do agility or basically loves to do anything with us.
Boomer turned 9 on October 17, 2009. Unfortunately Boomer suffers from anxiety issues and also has a seizure disorder. He is continuing his agility career in a slow and steady manner, his trialing schedule depends on the weather, and how he's feeling. Boomer is a true mama's boy, and just wants to please. Due to increased seizure activity and the progression og his arthritis, Boomer is now retired. It was a tough decision, but a necessary one. Boomer now cheers from the sofa with his trusty seizure alert dog Minnow.

Dog Daze Say Goodnight Gracie aka: Gracie

OTDd-OTDs-OTDc-RSO-JSE-GSE-SS-SR-SG-SJ

Gracie is our nonstop Cattle-Collie (ACD/BC cross). She was another rescue that was supposed to just be passing through. Once she was brought home, there was no way we were letting her go. She has more drive and desire to do ANYTHING than any other dog I know. We got her when she was a year old in September of 2007, she competed in her first agility trial in 2008 and has never looked back. Gracie is a maniac, especially compared to Boomer. She is an act first think later or never dog and never quits.  Gracie as been an education, and I like to think that she has made me a better trainer and handler. Gracie does everything in such an effortless manner you almost have to wonder if she is challenged. Along with competing in agility, Gracie's greatest outlet is herding, in ASCA herding trial she has won multiple high in trials. Gracie will drop everything to go move stock, she has a strong presence and a keen eye for reading the livestock. In just 2 trials she completed her started titles in the ASCA venue. I have great hopes for our partnership, and I believe that she will teach me more than I expect to learn from any other dog.

Sunny Acres Midnight Margarita  aka:Margo

JSN-RSN

Miss Margo, what a firecracker she is! It has taken me three years to get the courage to actually compete with her. She is and I both have very strong personalities, and tend to but heads a bit, but I wouldn't trade her for the world. She is an amazing little dog with resilience that I would love to have with any future dog. She is my one eyed bandit that just lovers her contacts, as much as she is headstrong she is also a sensitive little flower. If there is something she is uncomfortable with or she doesn't understand what I want from her. She will laydown in a huff and bark at me on course. Her personality is amazing along with her temperament.

Talisman's Zen

Zen, affectionately know to me as Princess Poopala, if a dog could look at you and see right through to your soul Zen would certainly have that ability. A little star from the start, and an incredibly intuitive dog, she was truly a blessing when Deidre of Talisman Farm, asked me to co-own her. I must admit it did take me a while to bond with Zen, but we now share a bond that is incredibly strong. She knows me in and out, my moods, when I am sick, sometimes she know me better than I know me. Naturally talented, Zen competed in her first agility and herding trial in the fall of 2010. Zen both qualified in her sheep run, and qualified and took first place in all of her agility runs. I was so very proud of her, she is an amazing natural talent, and I am very lucky to have her.
