The Birds
Well we have plenty. We have a variety of beautiful birds here that help around the farm. They are great bug control, awesome fertilizer producers, and they even supply us with food! What more could you ask for? There are many different chicken breeds, some are strictly egg producers, while some are more ornamental. Currently our mature flock is a little small, unfortunately we had some unwelcome visitors in the form of coyotes thin out our flock in the fall. Luckily the strong survived, and we were fortunate enough to get a new beautiful rooster Leroy to replace our beloved Dudley that we lost this past winter. Along with our mature birds, we have a mixture of eggs in the incubator getting ready to hatch and we have some beautiful babies in the brooder that are growing up quickly.
